The next day we drove to Ura, a wonderfully beautiful valley...even further east
On the way we stopped at a sacred lake, actually a sort of natural pool in a dynamic river bed,
THE BURNING LAKE
Prayerflags little shrines everywhere
I can't remember the whole story, but there was a treasure once in this lake, Pema Lingpa had seen it in a dream. He plunged into the lake, entered through a gate into a cave to a huge Buddha statue, there he was given a treasure box. He suddenly was standing again on the rock holding the treasure,
A second time to prove sceptics, he plunged into the lake holding a burning flame and reappeared with the treasure and the burning flame....
The night before going on this pilgrimage without knowing we would go to a lake and not knowing of the story I also had a dream:
An opal/moonstone in the shape of a tear was lowered into a dark lake....I realized the lake was IN ME...the opal tear dissolved into my whole body....
So the next day at the lake I was stunned....
With love to you all
