In my blog yesterday I forgot to actually say what GNH abbreviation means= Gross National Happiness
GDP=Gross Domestic Product
It means measuring the value, wealth of a country according or to
its domestic production: GDP or measuring the country according to the Happiness of it’s citizens: GNH
My friend Tandin wrote in her blog:
tandinw.blogspot.com :
colours of life, of the new research and measurements made in Denmark of the impact of WIFI waves on trees.
I know that many contradictory articles appear on these subjects, also concerning the “bees crisis”
as many bees “disappear” or “get lost” everywhere in the world and some research says it could be a result of all these invisible pollutions of telephone, wifi waves, etc.
But of course with a little bit of common
sense we know that “everything” influences, has an impact, on everything….
Every action changes the equilibrium, or enhances the wellbeing or brings about chaos, to all its surrounding life. Everything is interconnected
and in constant movement and re-adaptation!
Nature, we are so strong to constantly adapt to all these changes, to rebuild a new equilibrium. But is our modern lifestyle going too far...can a new equilibrium still be reached?
It
is said that one beating of a butterfly’s wing in the “other side of the world” has an impact on the whole of the world………..
When thinking of all this sometimes we can feel helpless and worried, knowing
that our modern lifestyle has such a destructive impact on nature, humans, children, old people, animals, all natural life.
At a meditation retreat in Chandolin, some years ago we all tried to share what we can actually do, what action
we can actually take to bring about healing and to enhance the well being of LIFE for all living species.
One participant, Pierre Dominicé, said something that really helped me. He said: he cannot change his lifestyle radically,
he can make little changes here and there, but thinks these changes are so insignificant compared to what would be necessary.
But what he can do and he really does it and he knows that it has a huge impact is: that he really “looks” at nature,
TAKES TIME to be with nature, with children, with trees, that he cherishes and honours their Presence. To stop and be with…to look at the sky, the stars at night (when have you done this the last time?) to look at a river, to listen, to look at their
beauty, joy and to listen carefully to their suffering!
Today I have a “skype day” having to catch up with my Vietnam work and colleagues. I will participate to the Wifi Pollution….
I
will also go for a slow mindful walk, looking at the flowers growing bravely next to the roadside….
