Hello Bangkok

Can you see the meditation huts seen from Paro airport...seciond range of mountains...May be the monk in there is meditating on impermanence...and may be he sometimes cries thinking of human suffering in this world?

Bye Bye Bhutan...hello Bangkok

Waiting….at the airport…Oh my …how many hours have I been already waiting at airports…The plane has a delay…

I somehow like this waiting, this "in between"time. Those who know me know I like to be early at the airport and I don’t mind waiting…it is a transition I need. Flying is such a rapid and almost “violent” means of transportation. I am used to walking a lot (I don’t even drive a car) so it all goes so fast when flying. These transit waiting times give me at least a little bit of time to “transit” from one world to the other.

The drive from Thimphu to Paro this morning was MAGNIFICENT!!!!! The colours of nature really are changing into almost “immaterial” quality…subtle golden red, brown, gray, mauve…,disappearing into the crisp blue autumn sky…

Tho is with me…this is really nice…He is flying to Hue and I am so happy that he will meet and work with the TTG team, Hue authorities and our various partners. I need his support for the work of Eurasia!

We’ll spend one night together in Bangkok and this I am looking forward to,

Am I sad to leave? I truly believe in: no coming, no going, no after, no before,…a song I learnt in Plum village and that accompanies me in our constantly moving life, : I hold you close to me and release you to be so free…because I am in you and you are in me…

Impermanence is the fabric of life and when on has a travelling life, like we have, we are constantly reminded of impermanence…and yet: I hold you close to me and release you to be so free, because I am in you and you are in me…

Bhutan and all the colours from Thimphu to Paro, all my new friends will always be in me and I know I can touch them where ever I am.

This morning I briefed Tho for his work in Hue, and while speaking of Mrs Trinh, Mr Tu , Khanh, TTG they were here with us…because I am in you and you are in me…

Looking forward to see Sofia, Ilya, Alexis, Naomi, Russia, Igor, Nath and my dear friends…because I am in you and you are in me…

I look out of the window at Paro airport. I see a few meditation huts far up some mountains. I think of the monk sitting up there for his 3 year+ retreat..

Distance, time….here, there, me, you…what a fleeting world…

What is waiting one hour at the airport…seen from a 3 year solitary retreat in one of these huts…well it gives me a great opportunity to continue my practice of Being and to continue my own retreat

Ps...Next morning: we have arrived in Bkk yesterday evening...we stay IN station 21, those of you who know Bangkok know what this means!!!! It is on Sukhumvit in one of these fancy malls...and our hotel IS IN this mall...our room is on the16th floor! And guess what we did yesterday evening ....there is a cinema iin "our" mall...we went to see "Skyfall"...the new James Bond...!!!!!!!!

My heart was pounding from adrenaline of excitement...not used to this kind of entertainment anymore...but we had lot's of fun!!!!

Tho left this morning early...I'll leave late at night...the sun is rising over Bangkok, I am firmly HERE where ever I am
