Time and space are such a mystery,
I arrived yesterday here in Bhutan joining Tho….was I ever away?…it does not seem so…I walked around with Tho yesterday in Thimpu, everything is
so well known, nothing seems unfamiliar, and walking together there is no gap of time and space…
I remember many years ago (20 may be) , Tho walked with Thay in Zurich in one of the crowded streets and he told him about Tu Hieu,
Thay’s root temple, in Hue Vietnam. At that time Thay was not allowed to come back to Vietnam and as Tho and me were there quite often for our work, we brought him fresh news. Thay looked at Tho and said, I do not miss Tu Hieu, Tu Hieu is right here
with us and he pointed at the earth under his feet!
I know exactly what he means! There is no separation!
Arriving in Paro it was the quality of light "Licht Aether", the smell that told me “here I am”
The road from Paro to Thimpu is “breath-givingly” beautiful,
Colours have changed again, snow on the high peaks not so far away, the earth the grass are even more “ocre” coloured, the stones of
the rocks darker, the sky blue (almost turquoise), but everywhere signs of spring!
Very light green buds on the willow trees, I even saw a beautiful peach tree in bloom…my heart is REJOICING!
We arrived home
in our cosy and warm Shambala apartment,
The owner Mister Kesang, a dear friend, welcomed us saying today was an auspicious day and he organized a full day Tara puja, if we want to join,
After a quick shower (I mean
I have been on the road, in the air almost without sleep for 36 hours…) We went upstairs in Mr Kesangs shrine room (on the top floor of our house there is this wonderful shrine room with 21 Tara statues) were about 7 monks held a Tara ritual with trumpets,
drums….the full Bhutan for my arrival…with prostrations, chanting…incense …YES I AM BACK
(but remember my question…was I ever away?)
Later waliking in Thimpu center, we met a few
friends, everybody's welcome back, so warm...
I have to think of our children and grandchildren, they are here with us! With every step I think of them with love !
This morning a wonderful sunrise over Thimpu, colours of soft pink,
soft blue, again a soft turquoise in the air…birds singing and rejoicing like me!
There was a comic book when I was small …I don’t remember the name , just that the heroes were twins and when they touched each other
they said “twin power activate!” and anything was possible…that’s how I feel being back with Tho…
I have a few things to do "down town (recharging my phone etc) this morning...I'll try to make some photo's
of spring on the way to encourage us all!
