Do you know the movie « breakfast at Tiffany’s ?
We could make a new movie : Breakfast at Trinh’s ?
Trinh definitively is a good student of Tho 🙂…One of Tho’s teachings is : Feed the People…
All our life is about brotherhood and sisterhood, about community and where
can this manifest in a very immediate and concrete daily practice ? …eating together…feeding each other : body soul and spirit
Cooking is one of Tho’s passions and cooking for friends and family one of his greatest
joys ! All those who come to my house know this and have experienced this ! Aaaaaahhh his vegetarian pho!!!!
I am more "offering my kitchen for you to cook" ha ha ...I love eating the food the friends cook in my kitchen!
It is actually the Guru of Ram Dass who gave this advise to one of his students who asked him : what should I do to reach enlightement…and the Teacher said : Feed the people
Feed the poor, poor and hungry in body and
mind !
This morning we had such a delightful breakfast party at Trinh’s house…Her big heart, courageous energy, her capacity to GIVE to share and to create space for others and to "feed everyone" definitively was there
during our "breakfast at Trinh's ! There was a warm "free flow" of getting together: I love it when people sit together for a while, move on to another table , the flow of friendship : who ever is with you at this moment as just the right person to BE with !
The flow of abundance and trust is the key !
We have received a very deep teaching a few weeks ago by Tho about how consciousness arrises…through a clear « mind map ». I had heard Thay teach this many times
but last summer in Chandolin and now again here in VN by again reflecting on it, I rediscovered the depth of this very fundamental understanding.
It is the "not holding back", hardening, « over identifying » with what we see as
« ME » » mine » « my suffering » « my pain and resentment » but letting things arise and let go again and mostly learn to water the seeds that bring about happiness, forgiveness,
gratitude…and let the seeds of jealousy, resentment, narrowness that we all also have in us…be recognized…but let them go again to make space for the seeds of happiness and to water very carefully the seeds in our consciousness that we
wish to grow so they can heal us and others
Here a poem I wrote for TTG team for our sharing evening with love
I can see
Sovereignty in your smile
Slowly, mindfully
You walk and offer your care
in every detail
I can hear
Your laughter, your joyful scream and chatter
Flying up to my balcony
You bring hope and life to us all
I can smell
Your perfume of freshness
Cleaning
as an art
You bring wellbeing and for this we thank you
I can taste
Your love in every plate
Cooking baking sharing a meal
What else do we need ?
I feel home
In your kind
embrace
Warm, close, comforting
Your friendship is my anchor
