Thimpu's only policeman guiding the traffic! He must have been busy yesterday evening!!!
Today is no car day!
Yesterday Tho was quite tired, he has lot's to do and of course there are also some obstacles on the way...so I convinced him to go for a hammam (steam bath) sauna and a swimm with me to a very fancy hotel, the Taj, just
a few minutes walk from here,
One could be anywhere in the world in these hotels...of course they have a bhutanese flair here, bhutanese decoration, (even temple dances as entertainment!!!), but still there is a general feeling of universal rich man's
protected and comfortable home that is a bit the same everywhere...It is like stepping from the "real world" into a "VIP world":)
But we really ENJOYED it! Swimming was GREAT! Sauna and hammam ...just so relaxing!
We even met very nice
staff there and met for the first time our nice bhutanese neighbour (who comes here to exercice 3 times a week...I might join her) !
After that we went out to eat a delicious Pizza...well this was our "back to western culture" evening!
And then
we saw a "traffic jam!" Yes! there are traffic jam's in Thimpu, Gitti!
Today NO CAR day!
What a courageous decision of the government...the minister of agriculture told us that they made a recent survey to hear how people feel about this
no car day...of course some people are not happy, but I think the general opinion is favorable,
Imagine a no car day in our western cities...well for me EASY! I don't drive and believe me I move around more than most people:), but of course in Switzerland
public transports are great! and in Vietnam I have great motorbike transport... but still it would be a challenge to introduce a no car day, but woaw would this be GREAT! Please try to imagine a no car day in your daily life...! How would you do?
Well
the title of my today's blog is :This is it!
I woke up this morning with the thought: This is it!
I wonder about happiness,..... I guess there is no other way than, "seing the beauty, blessing, love in one's life just right now!" "There is no
way to HAPPINESS , HAPPINESS is the way" Life is full of contradictions, up's and downs, but still Happiness is available any time just right here and now!...
I know!
This is it!
Wishing you love and HAPPINESS
