Yesterday night 3 flowers of the cactus kind of plant, Quynh Hoa, blossomed! The queen of the night!
What an incredible event,
It was a soft and warm night, stars in the sky...we all waited for the beauty to unveil....
The plant
is very unpretentious. cactus like, but it carries the most extravagant flowers.
They bloom in one night only and then fade away the same night,
It is the custom to gather with friends on such a special night and sing, chat, recite poetry while
waiting for the flower to open,
Its perfume is very subtle and exquisit
There is a story telling the origin of this flower...if I have time I might tell it to you later:)
Today busy day...first foreign affairs office, then visit FAO, later
important meeting...I'll try to be fresh like a flower:)
